Sensation of itchy vagina, or vagina itching, can be very unpleasant, and can be caused by several causes, but most frequent of them are: chlamydia ( vagina yeast infection ), enterobiasis, trichomoniasis.
Chlamydia
Chlamydia trachomatis or simply chlamydia is known as silent sexual disease. Chlamydia in most cases causes cervicitis, or infection of neck of the womb and urethritis – inflammation of the urethra. Chlamydial infection in most number of infected women have no symptoms, or the symptoms are rare and mild. Symptoms can be: painful sexual act and urination, painful and itchy vagina, unusual vagina discharge, or even fever. Chlamydia can be potential cause of prostatitis, too.
Enterobiasis
Enterobiasis is caused by pinworm or Enterobius vermicularis. This infection is specifically human. Only good prevention from being infected is personal hygiene. Trichomoniasis
Trichomoniasis, is urogenital tract disease, and very often cause of vaginits. In most cases it is sexually transmitted. Cause of disease is Trichomonas vaginalis. Place of the infection are the vagina and the urethra of the women. Symptoms are almost the same as mentioned above: vagina itchy, painful urination and unusual color and smell of vagina discharge.
